Ownership of Barbedos is 100% Nigerian. It began operation in 004 though in partnership with various other indigenous Companies.

In January 2006, Barbedos Oil & Gas branched out as an independent oil trading Company of its own performing for itself, Oil trading Operations. the trading activities cover the full spectrum from crude oil to refined and semi-refined products.
